Abstract

The unimolecular reactivity and stereoselectivity of four arylalkyl carbenes generated by a steady state irradiation of crystalline 1, 2-diaryldiazopropanes were correctly predicted by taking advantage of known reaction trajectories applied to structures obtained by simple molecular mechanics calculations.
