Abstract
Allylic sulfides are a class of useful synthetic intermediates.1 A number of synthetic methods have been reported for their preparation, including the allylation of thiols,2 the reaction of an allylic halide with sodium sulfide,3 the addition of thiophenol to an alkene,4 the reductive deoxygenation of sulfoxides with titanium(II) chloride, triphenylphosphine/ iodide/sodium iodide5 or samarium metal/ammonium chloride in methanol under sonication.6 Allylic sulfides can also be ...
