Abstract

(25 9.) was then added, and the mixture was subjected to steam distillation. The oil which distilled was taken up in low-boiling ligroin, the ligroin solution washed with water, and sodium carbonate solution (lo%), and dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate. On distillation, there was obtained an oil (9 g.), bp 90-110" (12 mm.); n Z o ~ 1.4520.
