Abstract
Sodium diethyl phosphonate in tetrahydrofuran solution reacts rapidly with organic disulfides to produce a phosphorothioate ester and a sodium mercaptide. From ethyl disulfide and &acetamidoethyl disulfide the respective products are O, O, S-triethyl phosphorothioate and 0, O-diethyl Sp. acetamidoethyl phosphorothioate. Reaction with phenyl ethyl disulfide takes place in one direction only to form 0.0, s-triethyl ...
