Abstract
Summary: The sulfhydrolytic cleavage of 0, N-dimethylbutyrolactamium and 0, N- dimethylvalerolactamium tetrafluoroborates involves CN scission under kinetic control (61 “C, NaSH, Ac20, CHClJ but C-0 cleavage under thermodynamic control (27 “C, NaSH, acetone).
