Abstract
Abstract Metallation of benzoxazole with n-buthyllithium leads to two isomeric lithium compounds, which exist in a mobile equilibrium. Further reaction with trimethylchlorsilane yields 2-trimethylsiloxy-phenylisonitrile (II), with trimethylchlorostannane the benzoxazol-2- trimethylstannane (III) is obtained. The stannane III can be transferred to the benzoxazol-2- yltrimethylsilane (I) by reaction with trimethylchlorosilane.
