Abstract
Abstract Various tosylhydrazones, such as dialkyl and aryl-alkyl tosylhydrazones, were found to react with a peroxysulfur intermediate, which was generated by the reaction of 2- nitrobenzenesulfonyl chloride with superoxide, to be converted into the corresponding carbonyl compounds, in mostly quantitative yields, at− 30 C under mild conditions.
