Abstract

Nucleoside transporter inhibitors have potential therapeutic applications as anticancer, antiviral, cardioprotective and neuroprotective agents. Although quite a few potent inhibitors of the equilibrative nucleoside transporters are known, largely missing are the concentrative nucleoside transporter inhibitors.
