Abstract

We herein describe the synthesis of compounds 11 and 12, and briefly report the biological activity of these two novel indolocarbazoles. ... Amine 14 was treated with oxalyl chloride in dichloromethane to furnish the glyoxylyl chloride which was immediately treated with 1-methylindole-3-acetic acid (16) in the presence of triethylamine to produce anhydride 17 in 30% yield in two steps from 14 (Scheme 2). 15 Loss of one Boc group was observed during this reaction sequence. ...
