Abstract

Abstract A method for the selective synthesis of amidines by ring-opening amination or of 7- aminomethylbenzoxazoles via a novel three-component-coupling reaction (arene, dichloromethane and amine) from benzoxazoles and amines was developed. Amidines could be further converted into 2-aminobenzoxazoles in high yield.
