Abstract
Second-order rate constants and equilibrium constants have been determined for the benzoate ion promoted deprotonation reactions of (m-nitrophenyl) nitromethane,(p- nitrophenyl) nitromethane, and (3, 5-dinitrophenyl) nitromethane in methanol solution.
