Abstract Some novel 4-amino-6-aryl-2-methylthio pyrimidine-5-carbonitrile derivatives were synthesized through a one-pot three-component reaction of an aldehyde, malononitrile, and S-methylisothiouronium iodide, using MCM-41-NH 2 as nanoreactor and nanocatalyst.
