Abstract
Fifteen methylethoxysilylalkylamines of the type (CH3h-n (C2HSO) nSi (CH2) mNH2 (n= 0-3; m= 1-4) were prepared and their basicities were determined by IR spectroscopy using deuteriochloroform as proton donor. From the results of the measurements it foliows that to explain anomalously low basicity of silylmethylamines, the effect of hyperconjugation should be considered.
