Abstract
Abstract The preparation of the thiodimethylboranes R n XSB (CH 3) 2 with R n X= H, CH 3, C 6 H 5, B (CH 3) 2, Sn (CH 3) 3, P (C 6 H 5) 2, As (CH 3 2 and Mn (CO) 4 is described. The high Lewis basicity of the sulfur atom in (CH 3) 2 BSB (CH 3) 2 and (CH 3) 3 Sn-SB (CH 3) 2 leads to slow polymerisation of these compounds.(C 6 H 5) 2 PSB (CH 3) 2 probably is a dimer with a six-membered BSP ring.[(CO) 4 Mn-SB (CH 3) 2] 2 is the first thermally stable ...
