Abstract
On the basis of some clues derived from a consideration of theoretical studies relating to 0- elimination reactions of benzhydryl and 9-fluorenyl thi~ cyanates'~," we were led to investigate the 9-fluorenylmethyloxycarbonyl (FMOC) group.
