Abstract
Abstract A large variety of α, β-unsaturated esters has been prepared by addition of aldehydes and ketones to 1-alkynyl ethers under the catalytic influence of boron trifluoride- ether. With carboxylic esters and dimethylformamide β-alkoxy-and β-dimethylamino- substituted acrylic esters are formed. The stereochemistry of the ester formation has been investigated.
