Abstract
We previously showed that 2,4,4,6-tetrabromo-2,5- cyclohexadienone in the presence of triphenylphos- phine is an efficient and mild reagent replacing the hydroxy group by bromine in alcohols [1, 2] and carboxylic acids [2].
