Abstract
Certainly, the difficulty of reaching firm conclusions depends also upon the fact that many of the main features of these reactions are scarcely known. For example, in oxidation of poly (alkyl) benzenes, the effects of the oxidizing metal ions on the intramolecular selectivities (relative reactivity of nonequivalent a-hydrogen atoms) are virtually unknown.'
