Abstract
4, 4′, 4 ″-(1, 3, 5-triphenylbenzenetriyl) tris [di (p-biphenyl) methyl] 2 was prepared under nitrogen by the dehalogenation of the corresponding trichloride with silver powder in benzene or toluene. The ESR spectrum of 2 in a rigid toluene glass shows the presence of a quartet state with D′= 53· 5 G. Highly diluted solutions of 2 obey Curie's law.
