Abstract
Results Photolysis of t-BuHgX or i-PrHgX with PhNC in Me2 SO at 35 OC leads to the precipitation of Hg in a process inhibited by the presence of 10 mol% of (1-Bu) 2NO'. The reaction also occurs in the dark at 80 C with t-BuHgI and at 25 “C with the redox system KLKZSZOS.
