Abstract

298 ALBERT L. HENNE AND WILLIAM G. FINNEGAN Val. 71 where (1) is derived from the Primary form of the a W bazene carbanion. It was assumed that the acid derived from the secondary form of the allylbenzene carbanion would have extinction coeffieients of approximately zero at 294 mB, 20 at 283 mp and &<:" was accordingly cor-rected. The results are tabulated in Table 111.
