Abstract

The title compound 3 has been prepared by reaction of CF3C≍ CCF3 with tritium gas on Lindlar catalyst poisoned with quinoline. The qualitative and quantitative analyses of the products (CF3CH= CHCF3, CF3CH= C3HCF3, CF3C3H= C3HCF3) have been carried out using GC/MS and 1H, 3H, and 19F NMR techniques. A strong isotope-induced shift has been detected in the 19F spectra of 3.
