Abstract
Catalytic transfer hydrogenation (CTH) is an alternative reduction method that can be used in the synthesis of many organic compounds. With supported noble-metal catalyst, CTH has been used for the reduction of nitro compounds and azides to amines and dehalogenation of mono- and polychlorinated aryl compounds.
