Abstract
Abstract The cis, cis, cis-1, 2, 3, 4-tetrakis (diphenylphosphinomethyl) cyclopentane-[PdCl (C 3 H 5)] 2 systemcatalyses efficiently the Suzuki cross-coupling reaction of benzylichalides with arylboronic acids. A wide variety of benzylic bromidesor chlorides and functionalised arylboronic acids lead selectivelyto the corresponding diarylmethane adducts in good yields. Furthermore, this catalyst can be used at low loading in many cases.
