Abstract

Abstract: Aminomalonates, eg, 1 and 2, smoothly reacted with difluoro-and chlorofluorocarbene to produce the adducts (3, 4, and 5) in good yields. These products were successfully converted to various versatile D-fluorinated alanine derivatives, ie, D, D- difluoroalanine (s), N-acyl-D-fluorodehydroalaninate(I), and fluoropyruvic acid (8).
