Abstract

The pyrolyses of esters represent an important method for the preparation of. unsaturated compounds without isomerisation of the double bond1• Although the preparation of olefins by pyrolysis of unsubstituted esters is extensively described in the literature1-6, only scant data is available on the pyrolysis of substituted esters7-9.
