Abstract
Radical cyclizations onto unsaturated systems have become widely used in synthetic chemistry, and the scope and limitations of such reactions have been the subject of recent reviews.'They proceed usually with high regiospecificity and often with good stereoselectivity. In particular, the cyclizations onto olefins are well understood, and ring closure in 5-hexenyl radicals and their hetero analogues proceeds in good conversions ...
