Abstract

Sulfonylation of organometallic reagents was accomplished with arenesulfonyl fluorides to provide a wide variety of alkylaryl-and diary1 sulfones. Organolithium and diorganocopper lithium reagents react smoothly with arenesulfonyl fluorides to give sulfones in high yields.
