Abstract
number of a-hydroxy isocyanates, a new class of compounds, have been synthesized from isocyanic acid and carbonyl compounds such as formaldehyde, chloral, s- dichlorotetrafluoroacetone, trifluoroacetaldehyde, and perfluorocyclobutanone.
