Abstract: 2-Acylcycloalkanones having polyfluoroalkyl groups react with guanidine, urea, thiourea, methylisothiourea, benzamidine, guanylthiourea, dicyanodiamide, and trifluoroacetylurea by Lewisacid catalysis to form the corresponding 5, 6-oligomethylene pyrimidines.
