Abstract

Mild and efficient oxidation of amines to the corresponding imines1 would provide a new synthetic possibility in organic synthesis because the formed imines are susceptible to nucle- ophilic additions which enable the introduction of a new sub- stituent at the β-position of the amine functionality.
