Abstract

Abstract A number of aromatic aza-analogues of juvabione and dehydrojuvabione have been synthetized by treatment of substituted benzylamine with 3-methylbutanoyl chloride and 3-methyl-2-butenoyl chloride. Reaction of substituted phenoxyacetyl chlorides with isopropylamine and 2-propanol gives other series of aromatic juvabione analogues. The 1 H NMR spectra of some analogues are discussed.
