Abstract

Aryl triflates are coupled with amines using catalytic amounts of Pd (OAc) 2 and BINAP and Cs2CO3 as a stoichiometric base. This protocol allows for the efficient amination of electron- poor as well as electron-rich aryl triflates and the reaction conditions are compatible with a wide variety of functional groups.© 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
