Abstract
The photostimulated reactions of haloarenes with phenyl selenide 2 and phenyl telluride 6 ions were studied in liquid ammonia. In the reactions of 2 with chloro-and bromobenzene, the yields were low, but with iodobenzene and halogen derivatives of naphthalene, phenanthrene, and quinoline, the yields of substitution products were good. With 6 and iodobenzene, a very good yield of diphenyl telluride was obtained, but with 1-chloro-or 1- ...
