Abstract

The reaction of various ethers with alkenes bearing an electron-withdrawing substituent in the presence of N-hydroxyphthalimide combined with Co (OAc) 2 under dioxygen produced the corresponding adducts in which oxygen is incorporated to alkenes in good yields.
