Abstract
In order to determine the practical value of quinol imide acetates as synthetic intermediates in the preparation of highly substituted aromatic systems it was necessary to enlarge upon the scope of previous investigations. 2-6 The benzoquinol sulfonamide acetates investigated thus far were formed in yields of not greater than 50%.
