Abstract
The infrared spectra of the various methoxymethyl enol ethers show bands at approximately 1715 and 1635 cm-'for the conjugated ester carbonyl and conjugated double bond, respectively. In the case of the acyclic enol ethers there is the possibility of cis and trans isomerism about the double bond. However, the nmr spectra indicate that only one isomer is present in each case.
