Abstract

The ortho-arylation of aromatic compounds is a principal reaction system in CÀH activation chemistry.[1] The transformation uses a functional group to direct a CÀH metalation in the ortho position, usually by using transition metals (TMs) such as palladium or ruthenium (Scheme 1).
