Abstract

The reaction of oxymercurials with active methylene compounds has been studied in acetic acid, methanol, ethanol, and 2-propanol containing perchloric acid. Active methylene compounds, substituted with alkyls and aralkyls containing mercury, have been obtained in good yields.
