Abstract

Quinoxaline and its derivatives constitute an important class of benzo-fused heterocycles with a broad spectrum of biological activity, which have made them privileged structural fragments of pharmacologically active compounds [1–4]. Quinoxaline derivatives are generally synthesized by condensation of arene-1, 2-diamines with 1, 2-dicarbonyl compounds in organic solvents under reflux (2–12 h); their yields range from 34 to 85%[5]. ...
