Abstract

One five-hundredth mole, 0.2383 g., was dissolved in 2 cc. of 1: l sodium hydroxide solution and washed into a nitrometer with 3 cc. of water. Two grams of cupric sulfate dissolved in 4 cc. hot water was next introduced. Gas immediately formed and slowly subsided.
