Abstract

Summary p-Cyanophenylarsonous acid has been prepared by reduction of p- cyanophenylarsonic acid, and also from p-aminophenylarsine oxide dihydrate by the diazo reaction. This cyano arsonous acid has been converted, through its imino ether, into the p- amidinophenylarsonous acid and, from the latter, the p-amidinophenyldihalo arsines have been prepared.
