Abstract

Cinnamic acid and its derivatives are important reagents in organic synthesis, both as intermediates and final products. They are important in flavors, perfumes, cosmetics, graphics, and pharmaceutical industries, and also as building blocks in the structures of photosensitive polymers, working as negative photoresists in microelectronics.
