polystyrene resin'by being shaken for 45 min in toluene in the presence of 0.02 equiv of N- methylmorpholine, Fmoc-Leu-O-resin with a substitution of 0.4 meq/g was obtained after filtration, washing, and drying under high vacuum. The absence of racemization was established by standard solid-phase procedures.*
