Abstract

A series of tosyl functionalized oxyethylene-based organic compounds were selected to analyze the scope and efficiency of a general substitution method for conversion to difunctional, soluble oxyethylene based intermediates using readily available ammonium salts, glycols and commercially modified ethoxy-ethanols.
