Abstract

Therefore, there still exists a need for novel and facile methods for efficient conversion of ketones and aldehydes into the corresponding amides via Beckmann rearrangement. Our new approach reported herein involves the use of the cheap and commercially available ZnO in the absence of solvent as catalyst for Beckmann rearrangement of several ketones and aldehydes.
