Abstract The (ether-phosphane) ligands R 2 PCH 2 (1, 4-diox)(1a–c)(R= Ph (a), Mes (b), Cy (c); diox= dioxane residue) and Ph 2 PCH 2 (1, 3-diox)(2a) are obtained from the corresponding phosphides LiPR 2 and 2-chloromethyl-1, 4-dioxane and− 1, 3-dioxane, respectively, at− 40 C in ether.
