Abstract

A recent project required the preparation of a series of 1, 1-disubstituted-1, 2, 3, 4- tetrahydronaphthalene derivatives. These compounds are known to be both retinoic acid receptor (RAR) antagonists and retinoic X receptor (RXR) agonists.
