Abstract

Abstract The reaction of diacyloxyiodobenzenes and tetravalent phosphorus nucleophiles was investigated. It was established that both H-phosphonates and secondary phosphine oxides react with diacetoxyiodobenzene in alcohols in the presence of sodium alcoholates yielding trialkyl phosphates and alkyl phosphinates respectively.
