Abstract

In part I of this series2 the preparation of a group of 2-biphenylylpenicillins which are highly active against a resist'ant3 strain of staphylococcus was reported. In a subsequent paper4 a variety of further structural modifications of the 2-biphenylyl side chain was reported.
